This is my not so secret mistress.... May, she is a Solent Silver V12 Vantage first registered in July 2000.
Solent Silver is an unusual colour insomuch as in some light it is very silvery and in others there is a distinct blue tinge to it, which is demonstrated when you compare the first two photos.
I purchased her in 2014 from an AMOC member with just over 46,000 miles and I'm the fifth owner, driving about 4,000 miles per year in "normal" years with the current mileage being almost 68,000 miles, I enjoy travelling to AMOC and other events plus weekends away and driving holidays and despite doing those miles, I regularly enter AMOC and other Concours competitions, managing to achieve two first, two second and three third places at AMOC Concours, plus a first place at the Brooklands Double Twelve Concours.
The interior is Light Grey and Pacific Blue and has the original audio system with the 6 CD auto changer in the boot. This being an early Vantage it has a space saver wheel and a full original tool kit including the white gloves! At the DB7 day in 2019, Ian Callum kindly signed the owners manual for me.
Not long after I first owned her, I visited my Mother in Pembrokeshire and took my Mother for a drive through the Preseli Hills, which has some amazing roads. At one point I was behind a tractor and the road opened up and switching to sport mode, I overtook briskly and then my Mother turned to me with a big smile and said "Now I know WHY Aston Martin!". Since then she swears it's her car and I'm merely looking after it for her.
