Sold by International Motors, Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood California in 1952.
Supplied in Right hand drive with centre floor gear change, USA export spec with repeating indicators and not semaphore indicators as on the English version.
This DB2 remained in California with two owners followed by 18 years in storage. It was imported into the UK in 2007 and purchased by the current owner in 2008 with the odometer reading 55,217 miles. It was the subject of a complete restoration by its owner and then registered in the UK with a period number LTK 463.
The restoration includes many new and stronger engine, suspension and axle components without compromising the cars originality. The original gearbox has been retained and rebuilt with a new second gear and layshaft. Due to the Californian climate the car had virtually no corrosion, but the bonnet had been modified with louvers to aid cooling. These were removed during the restoration and the bonnet returned to its original shape.
LTK 463 was loaned to AML earlier this year for their 70 years of Vantage celebration and featured in their publicity photo shoot in an aircraft hangar at Bicester Heritage. The last picture is from this event.
LTK 463 now resides in Somerset with its owner and restorer Roger McCouat.
