This original DB9 is a timeless icon that credits past DB models that inspired later models, it was one of the earliest cars sent to Australia commissioned for Hon. Vernon Schofield OBE. I’d been looking for an original Australian compliance DB9 for a number of years with much time and cost only to be disappointed by various claims from dealers and sellers alike. I had almost given up when a new advert caught my eye by chance of the car which was in country WA some 100 miles from Perth. I promised myself this would be the last attempt as it must surely be the last one I had not looked at. As I drove up the long private road of the sheep farming property in anticipation it was sitting undercover of the main entrance to this amazing property. I knew this was the car if all I understood was true about the car, which was a 2005 19,500km from new delivered to Australian compliance, one owner with full history. The car was inspected by Joe Jarman an AML licensed mechanic who was astounded by the presentation and condition of what he described as a timeless piece in immaculate condition. The deal was done and shortly after I joined AMOC WA and was told of the Australian National week that happened to be in Perth and three months later the car was entered and took concours honours in Salon De Elegance 1st Gaydon and 1StConcours De Elegance Auto Salon De Elegance. Now two years with 26,600kms the car has been lovingly looked after and driven on most local club runs and provided a pleasure of viewing at local public events.
