Allegedly the only vehicle in the world to have had its picture taken in this location (cannot be repeated) and definitely the only Aston. After all, where else would a scroat from Stoke photograph his P'n'J.
Most weekends, back when I was a mad early teen and some would say nothing has changed much, I'd take the short train ride from Stoke to trawl the forecourts of Wilmslow. It was like having an international motor show every Saturday on your doorstep. All the top marques were present back then but Aston was always the favourite. I never once set foot inside the hallowed arena that was the showroom. In fact mostly I was told to move on. However, some 30 years later, after much dreaming and planning, patience and fortitude on September 30th 2010, I finally walked into that same showroom for the very first time and purchased C00293.
To this point in time, C00293 had been a one owner vehicle used solely for the purpose of ferrying its then owner to the golf club and back. Completely factory standard and serviced regularly by AM Wilmslow.
During my tenure to date, I have introduced a number of aesthetic enhancements to the vehicle including the installation of N400 sills, replacing the factory standard top centre console and door capping with carbon fibre look versions and adding the rarely seen 15 spoke diamond turned alloy wheel option.
All mechanicals remain original factory specification (its more than enough!) and the engine number is AM05/00694. Vehicle maintenance is shared between Works Service and AML Performance Ltd of Macclesfield.
C00293 has covered a little over 20,000 miles since its manufacture circa October 2005.
