Introducing my 2012 V8 Vantage S finished in Silver Jubilee over Obsidian upper and Phantom lower leather. This car rolled off the line at Gaydon on September 6, 2011 and was sold new by Aston Martin Newport Beach in California. It changed hands several times prior to my ownership, spending time in Florida before coming to New Jersey.
Its Silver Jubilee paintwork is an extremely rare "Q Special" color. Originally intended for Cygnets, just 29 cars were painted this shade of silver— 23 Cygnets, and six others including two V8 Vantage S, one LHD and one RHD. (And I know who owns the RHD car!)
I joined AMOC in 2005 at age 15, already several years into a lifelong love of Aston Martins. In the years that followed, I remained an active member in both the US and UK. Through high school, university, and the beginning years of my career, I never lost sight of the goal. In 2018, I could finally begin my search.
After months of looking, I received a note from an AMOC friend saying he'd just found my car: Low miles, mint condition, great colors, and something really special— an uprated V8 Vantage S model. In fact, this was the only Aston I looked at in person. When you know, you know.
Since bringing the car home in October 2018, I’ve taken it everywhere: Long drives, short drives, road trips with friends, sunset runs along the coast, and of course, many AMOC events.
Aston Martin ownership has been even more amazing than I could ever have imagined. It’s still surreal to start the car and go for a drive.
