As an apprentice mechanic some 50 years ago I always dreamed of owning an Aston Martin. As you can see from the rear number plate it says ‘No Longer A Dream’. I owned my first Aston Martin a 2007 V8 Vantage in 2010 in Black. Some 7 years later on a short break in Bridgewater we paid a visit to Aston Martin Bristol. There in the showroom was a Cobalt Blue V8 Vantage with 6,000 miles on the clock and 2 previous owners. The car an automatic manual was a must so the wife could drive it. At first I decided I didn’t like the colour but the wife did!! After test driving we decided that this was the car. At this time I didn’t have my black vantage with me but the dealership contacted where I purchased from and the car was serviced there. They verified the condition etc and the rest is history. When we took delivery we immediately had the car done with paint protection. Aston Martin Bristol gave an exceptional service and I have since taken the car back for its servicing albeit some 500 mile round trip from my home. I have dilemmas over if I want to change the car but it would have to be of some outstanding exceptional example of an Aston Martin. The car is used at weekends and taking to car shows and events. Last year we took the car on a 6 day road trip to Monaco. We crossed the Millau Bridge, came back via Route Napoleon and went to the old race track at Reims. The first picture shows the car here. Looking forward to coming out of lockdown to get back on the road and to meet up with other Aston Martin owners.
