We bought ‘Anastasia’ from Stratton Motors in May 2019, following a visit we had arranged to Classic Team Lotus.
She’s an early car, chassis number 299, first purchased in January 2006 and we are the proud fourth owners.
She’s a fully serviced car as proved by the stamped owner’s manual and paperwork, has covered nearly 58,000 miles and is resplendent in Onyx Black with Obsidian Black leather interior.
Her original registration was NK55 DUV but is now F13 AMV (Friday 13th when we first met and/or taken when Aston Martin was established and Aston Martin Vantage).
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic we have only been able to attend a few Area 14 meetings, the AMOC race meeting at Snetterton and the Holkham Hall events in 2019 and so we are really looking forward to putting on more than the 1,300 miles we have managed so far.
As you will see from the pictures, Anastasia has had something of a transformation. When purchasing the car, we knew that there were various paint chips and having decided to have them dealt with, then made the decision to “customise” her at the same time, with the help of Aston Martin & Porsche, Cambridge to match our Black and Gold Lotus’s.
Items updated in gold - bonnet grills, side strakes, wheel, tailgate ‘Vantage’ Badge and rear grill. Items updated in Black - window surrounds, front grill and the inside boot lock. Items updated in Black & Gold – treadplates and brake calipers.
Of all the items updated, we feel that the ‘treadplates’ are really special, painted black with the hand-painted gold pinstripe and new Aston Martin V8 Vantage badges.
We hope Aston Martin ‘Q branch’ would be proud…..
