This is the original steering wheel which was fitted to a DB2/4 that my Grandpa and Dad purchased in 1978. The car was restored by them to show condition and entered regularly into AMOC Concours events from 1979 through to 2011, when the car was subsequently sold. The steering wheel was replaced due to age related cracking on one of the spokes and having been kept in a wardrobe for several years, my Dad mounted a period looking clock to the central hub and gave it to me as a birthday present 3 year ago.
Unfortunately, I never really knew my Grandpa (Derrick), as he passed away when I was 3 years old, but I grew up attending many AMOC car shows and club race meetings in the DB2/4. The steering wheel clock now hangs in my living room and is a direct connection to both my Grandpa and the memories I have of the car.
