This gorgeous Corgi model of James Bond’s DB5, complete with opening roof and ejector seat, 2 guns which came out from the front bumper and a bullet-proof screen which, surprisingly, is still operational, was given to my son about 45 years ago. Either the car was his favourite and played with constantly, or he was a little destructive. It has certainly seen better days!
It no longer has a roof nor the guns, although the wheels run beautifully even if the tyres lack tread. It went missing for a long time and was eventually found at the bottom of the garden by the bonfire. It was rescued, cleaned and kept and is now part of my grandson’s car collection.
James Bond lived to die another day; it looks like this car will too.
