After owning my second vantage for approximately 5 years, I wanted to change it for one of the last AMRs, assuming I could find a good one. In early Feb 2019 I contacted Grange (Hatfield) to find out if they could locate one – but it had to be immaculate. As I assumed they had all been sold I was a bit shocked to hear that there was a manual car which might be still available, so I bought it!
This is my 3rd Vantage, a V8 manual AMR coupe and by far the best one yet. One of the last 200 to be built, it was first registered on 11/3/19 making this almost the last V8 Coupe manual to be registered - actually it’s the second to last !
This is a unique car (as confirmed by the AMHT) - out of the 136 V8 AMR coupes built only 11 V8 coupes (worldwide, LHD & RHD) were painted in this colour which is Zaffre Blue. Perfect for me as I like Blue cars. Zaffre Blue being a Q colour and appears very pearlescent, sometimes light and sometimes dark blue depending on the lighting conditions. Quite difficult to photograph.
It is also probably one of Astons softest paints as swirls seem to appear by magic. I am completely mad about detailing all my cars and have used 2020 to make the car “better than new” whilst the UK has been in lockdown. I have removed 95+ percent of the marks and swirls from the paintwork followed by a ceramic coating. Note all the pictures were taken prior to this !
I think the interior of this car is one of Astons best (from the Gaydon cars), the carbon fibre lightweight seats are superbly comfortable - far more than the standard sport seats and look good too. The alcantara interior just makes it feel a very special place to be.

Absolutely beautiful. This blue really suits the car. My favourite is the Volcano Red. Would love a manual, volante V12. Light interior.
