This Vanquish in Grigio Titanio was bought in 2017 because its condition was excellent throughout but specifically underneath, as I wanted to turn it into a Concours winning car but to Concours Plus standard. Every part of the car has been cleaned prepared and protected. Paintwork polished and protected with nanotechnology, rubber, plastics, leather and wiring with appropriate protective products, Glass with anti mist and water repellent. But the majority of work is inside the engine bay and underneath. White alloy parts removed and soda blasted, black metal parts soda blasted and powder coated, seek out any remaining signs of deterioration, clean up and protect. Then finally the under-trays soda blasted and powder coated, finally all screws, washers and bolts replaced with black stainless steel.
My special picture the finished underneath showing the results before the under trays go on. That’s why I call it Concours Plus, because it’s been done way beyond the areas the judges can get to so the car will be better than it left the production line.
Still haven’t entered it into a concours but it is now ready and I’m looking forward to the live concourses which currently start again in September.
A little extra is the Ian Callum signature on the front beauty panel which I am very proud of.
