This DB 6 (2695R) is shown here in its brand-new post-restoration color scheme of Snow Shadow Grey replacing the original Fiesta Red over black leather, chrome roadwheels, heated rear window, changeover Flamm horns and its restored original jack.
I acquired this car in 2010 and it retains the original engine (400/2645) as delivered to the Eton Motor Group on May 3, 1966. Its inline six-cylinder, dual overhead cam, 3995cc engine has triple SU HD8 carburetors and produces 282 bhp @ 5500 RPM. The DB 6 has rack and pinion steering, four-wheel, power-assisted, Girling disc brakes, a synchromesh 5-speed ZF gear box and a limited-slip differential. This car was fitted with numerous conveniences from the factory including Armstrong Selectaride Dampers (shocks) which adjust the stiffness and travel of the rear suspension to adjust to differing driving surfaces, electric windows, powered aerial, and rigid Perspex tinted sun visors.
In the late 1970s or 80s the car made its way from England to California and was partially restored and repainted with careful attention to detail and faithful to the original configuration. After purchasing the car from a private collection, I have driven it for many years in numerous rallies including the Copperstate 1000 and Going to the Sun Rally and have showed the car in its pre-restored condition at the Arizona Concours and the Santa Fe Concorso in 2011 where it won best in class. After the 2017 GTTS rally, I commissioned Kevin Kay Restorations of Redding, an internationally-recognized DB specialist to completely restore the car and convert it to LHD. I hope you VIRTUALLY enjoy my original, numbers matching DB 6 which has been carefully restored to showroom condition with careful attention to originality and, more importantly, continues to be driven and rallied regularly.
