After having owned a DB9 for several years, early last year I decided to try to find my dream Aston, a manual V8 Series III coupe. Unfortunately I found the vast majority of available V8s in the States were either automatic or volantes. So after several months of fruitless searches I decided to expand my search to the UK after discovering the cost of importation to the US was not prohibitive. Over the course of several weeks I contacted a nearly every classic Aston dealer until I found what I consider the perfect V8 for me, a car that's meant to be driven and not be a Garage-Queen. I purchased the car in August of 2020, at which point I had Aston Workshop update the radiator and air conditioning for it's new life in the tropics; the vehicle arrived in Miami in November of 2020.
V8/111017/RCA While the car was originally Oxford Blue, the car went through an extensive restoration in 1993/4 where the Oscar India style flip tail was added and the vehicle painted in Bentley Midnight Emerald.
Miami is place for exotic cars, where Ferrari's, Lamborghini's and McLaren's are at nearly every intersection. One of the greatest joys about this V8 is that it's a show stopper, it clearly stands out amongst the pack. I do admit that I have to repeated correct people that it's an Aston and not a Mustang :)
