V8COL15025 has been a continual hobby and companion since I acquired it in December 1989 with 62,000 miles. Current odometer is 123,082 miles. It was originally owned by a plastic surgeon in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. Sold to Vantage Motor Sports in Cambridge , Massachusetts, which I believe now is Aston Martin of New England. I learned of it after visiting Vantage Motor Sports in London. This particular trip was a gift from my father in law on the Concorde and QE2 to celebrate my wife's cigarette cessation.
Being mechanically inclined, I am committed to keeping her in pristine condition( the car, not my wife). Over the years, I've disassembled and redyed the interior leather and carpets, replaced all rubber trim and recored the radiator. A stainless steel vantage exhaust system was installed. New brake servos, alternator, fuel pump, and fuse box were added.. The master cylinder and front brake pistons were rebuilt. A new ac compressor with r134 conversion was added. Brake reaction strut bushings were replaced in situ with composite material. All screws and metal hardware were replaced with stainless steel. Only the transmission was rebuilt by a professional. Carburetor tuning is done with a color tune device and float manometer. All fluids, belts and hoses are replaced by yours truly. A genuine joy for 32 years.
