Terms & Conditions

Thank you for submitting images to the 2020 AMOC Virtual Concours. Upon completion of the judging, all images and car history information will be passed on the AMHT to archive.

1.  All information detailing how to enter the Virtual Concours forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all terms and conditions are adhered to. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.

2.   Entrants must ensure that the photographs they are submitting are their own work, that they own the copyright for them and that they do not infringe the copyright or other rights of any third party or any laws. If you are using someone else’s photographs, please ensure that you tell us who the photographer is and gain their permission before submitting them. You must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries or their parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured. Where an individual or a residential property, belonging to someone other than the photographer is featured, the photographer must seek permission.  

3.  Entrants will retain copyright and moral rights in their submitted images however, by entering, all entrants:

  1. agree to the images and text being submitted to the AMHT archive with full attribution to the photographer;

  2. grant the AMHT non-exclusive rights to use the images to promote future promotions within a five-year period;

  3. agree that the uses referred to in 3(2) above may include publishing, displaying or otherwise reproducing the images (on the internet, in AMHT journals, at events or otherwise) for the purposes of promoting the concours or similar future competitions only; and

  4. agree the AMHT may contact them using the contact details they provide to discuss potential use of the images beyond promotion of the concours. Such discussion and negotiation will be independent from the virtual concours. 

4.  The AMHT will endeavour to credit the photographer whenever his or her image is used and published by the AMHT.

Privacy Notice Relating to Your Personal Data

Upon entering, you have provided us with your personal data. The AMHT is the “data controller” of this information.

The AMHT processes your personal data on the basis of its legitimate interests in running this photographic competition.

Data protection law gives you certain rights in relation to your personal data, including the right to request from the controller access to and rectification or erasure of your personal data or restriction of its processing, and to object to processing.

The AMHT will not share your data with any other third parties without your permission.

If you raise a complaint with the AMHT about the way it has handled your personal data and you are dissatisfied with the AMHT’s response, you are entitled to raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at: https://ico.org.uk/concerns/
